Martin sourced a Colnago V4R in his homeland of Germany and then took a ferry from mainlaind Europe to the UK to drop the frame off in person as he specifically wanted me to paint it for him. He then travelled up to Scotland for a holiday and then collected the finished frame on the way back home. So it was a pretty fast turnaround for me.
On this V4R he wanted some really unique elements, the design/idea is totally client led. With the split colnago logo, the pink and red colours and outline to the main logo and the smaller manga style drawings. He even wanted the headtube logo to be more traditional. All of this is paint – no decals or stickers used, 100% paint.
It’s hard to see on the images, but the frame is based in a white ice pearl so in the sun it really shimmers.
